Android The terms, sorted out

E-detailing and digital detailing, explained

E-detailing, digital detailing, iDetailing, tablet detailing, CLM — the words overlap and get confused. Here is what each one means, and exactly where an offline e-visual aid app fits in.

What e-detailing actually means

One activity, many names — sorted out for pharma teams.

E-detailing is a medical representative presenting brand and disease information to a doctor on a screen — a tablet or phone — instead of a printed folder. Everything else is a variation on that one idea.

Digital detailing is the same thing said differently. iDetailing and tablet detailing just point at the device. A digital visual aid or e-visual aid is the file or app being shown. And CLM (Closed Loop Marketing) is the wider system that some large companies use to also record which slides a doctor saw.

Where an e-visual aid app fits

RX Design Hub covers the presentation and the design — not the analytics.

The content

We design the brand pages your rep shows — the visual aid itself, built around your molecules and claims.

The app

We set those pages inside a real offline Android app with side brand indexing and division-wise structure.

Not the tracking

We do not run doctor analytics, Rx tracking or a per-seat login system. If you need that, you need a CLM/SFA platform — the app can sit alongside it.

Do you need full CLM software?

A quick, honest way to decide.

If your priority is recording every slide view, integrating with a CRM and managing user seats, that is a CLM or SFA platform — a monthly software subscription. If your priority is a clean, well-designed brand presentation that works offline in any chamber, that is an e-visual aid app. Many teams run both: the platform for reporting, our app content for the actual detailing. Questions, answered

Is e-detailing the same as digital detailing?
Yes — they are two names for the same activity: a rep presenting to a doctor on a digital device instead of on paper.
Is an e-visual aid app the same as e-detailing?
An e-visual aid app is a tool used to do e-detailing. The app holds your brand pages; e-detailing is the act of presenting them to a doctor.
Does e-detailing need an internet connection?
Not with an offline app. RX Design Hub's e-visual aid app presents prepared brand pages without internet, which matters inside clinics and hospitals where signal drops.
Is CLM the same as e-detailing?
No. CLM (Closed Loop Marketing) is the wider system that also records doctor interactions for analytics. E-detailing is just the presentation. Our app focuses on the presentation and the design, not the analytics.
Do you provide CLM analytics or Rx tracking?
No. We design the visual aid and set up the offline Android app. We do not build doctor tracking or prescription analytics. If your company already runs a CRM or SFA, our app can be used alongside it.
